JL Pomeroy is a media executive, producer, entrepreneur, and super-connector. Her passion for connecting people and orchestrating strategic partnerships to drive transformative change has been the through-line of her career.
She is the founder of bridgeLine media, a venture that connects impact investors with socially conscious and technology driven media companies to generate positive impact at scale. This is an evolution from her work as CEO of Husseini Group, where she expanded the family office mandate to invest in purpose driven films. These stories amplify the firm’s key investment thesis, focusing on companies who are poised to create transformative change in climate tech, and health and wellness.
Previously, Pomeroy was the Chief Marketing Officer of IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX). She transformed the global marketing team at IMAX into a strategic and revenue-driving division and was instrumental in IMAX hitting $1 billion global box office gross revenue in 2018 for the first time in its history. She also launched a game-changing brand campaign across 80 countries and 1,500 locations and produced a first-of-its-kind IMAX Brand Film with diverse representation on and offscreen, now showing in front of all IMAX movies globally.
Earlier, Pomeroy served as CEO of JUMPLINE Group, comprised of two agencies—JUMPLINE, a full-service events agency, and BEHIND THE LINE, which develops and produces original content for studios, networks, and brands.
Since its inception in 2002, JUMPLINE Group has successfully collaborated with some of the world’s most iconic brands including Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Campari, Disaronno, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, among many others. A notable tentpole event is the Costume Designers Guild Awards (CDGA), which JUMPLINE executive produced over a span of 18 years, growing it into the industry’s largest non-televised awards show, culminating with 2.5B press impressions and 2.1M livestream viewers on Twitter in 2021. Pomeroy now serves as the Group’s Executive Chairman.
At BEHIND THE LINE, Pomeroy developed and produced “Live From New York!”— a documentary about 40 years American history through the lens of Saturday Night Live that premiered on opening night at the Tribeca Film Festival and was sold to NBC. She continues to produce film projects, many of which will be distributed and amplified through the bridgeLine media network.
Pomeroy began her career at Cartier North America, where she spent a decade building a wholesale division as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. She also served as Publisher at Modern Luxury Media where she launched a high-end city magazine targeting luxury brand advertisers.
Pomeroy sits on several advisory boards including Ostendo, Otherly Ventures and Dot Dot Dot Media. She advocates for organizations that support gender equality, climate, and social justice. She is a board member emeritus of Step Up Women’s Network, a member of Visionary Women, The WIE Suite, The Li.st, and sits on the Guggenheim Technology & Innovation Council in New York.
